Alphabet Blog - Z

Z is a difficult letter to think of something to blog about. I have zodiac signs, zoo, zebra on my mind but I don't know exactly what can I blog about them! I guess I can say a little about each of them?

Zodiac signs, I'm a Virgo, I have read some articles about description of Virgo and I find some of them are true so I see them as any other interesting facts. Do you believe in what those daily zodiac signs says about you?

Zoo, zebra, we don't have a proper zoo here.We do have animals in theme parks and wetland park, mainly are birds, fishes, and maybe some marine animals like dolphins, sea lions. We don't have typical zoo wild animals like lions, tigers, giraffes, or whichever animal you would expect in a zoo. I'd like to go to a proper zoo one day, I know it's said caging all the animals in restricted spaces and I've heard news about brutal capturing and selling of animals to zoos all over the world, but I think it's a nice experience to be able to see so many animals in one place. I know in some children's growing up experience, going to the zoo is one of the most vivid memories of them, the remember feeding monkeys or make faces with them. We just don't have such facility here! Do you go to the zoo often as a child or even now? Is it great to contact with animals so close to you? I would love to hear any interesting experiences!

*sooooo...this is the end of the alphabet blog! I hope you enjoyed all of our posts!

Alphabet Blog - Y - Year end

It's the second last day of the year! Where has all the time gone?
I still have one last exam tomorrow on New Year's Eve, wish me luck!
Good news is I'm going to Beijing on the first day of the New Year! I'll be traveling by train and the trip last for seven days including the approximately 48 hours train journey. I shall blog about it later when I come home by then!
I don't have much to say as of now but I will be blogging when I do and keep in touch with all of you who read my posts! Thank you all! This year internet had brought me closer to certain people and I'm grateful for that!

I came across this picture recently and I'd like to share it, I think it is proper for this time of the year when you think things over and plan and hope for better in the new year!

Alphabet Blog - X - Xmas

Merry Christmas! x

I don't celebrate Christmas like most of those in Western families do but I do like this festival as well! I like the jolly spirits of it, I like all these decorations, I like beautiful wrapping papers, I like handwritten Christmas cards, I like listening to Christmas songs throughout December, I like to walk around town looking at all those Christmas lights and trees and people smile with shopping bagsssss in their hands, I like getting excited for Christmas, I like giving myself the excuse to indulge in Christmas sweets and cookies, I like to gather with friends to have a laughter filled meal, I like burning a good smelling candle and have a peaceful evening with a mug of steamy tea, I like to feel the positiveness and love and joy of Christmas : )

Alphabet Blog - W - words

I always think words are magical, how they're being put together to form a sentence, how one word can mean so many things and how one word can be everything! I have always loved quotes. They are extremely nice inspirations. They are wisdom compressed into a sentence. It's open for interpretation for anyone who read it and different things will come across their mind and provoke them to think. Quotes are really special, maybe some are widely known or being said too many times it became cliche but still, they have this power to strum heart strings. Words also make up lyrics, poems and literature. I'm always attracted to the lyrics of a song, it tells a unique story and conveys what's in the writer's mind into a solid  universally understandable code. Of course the melody is very crucial and nice as well but to me the lyrics have that extra quality that had me!

I want to share a few of my favourite quotes with you:

Every man's memory is his private literature.

There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors of perception.

Maybe it's true, maybe we don't know what we have until we've lost it, but maybe it's also true that we don't know what we are missing until we find it.

Life is like a jigsaw, sometimes it's all over the floor. When the pieces feet together, you feel a thing you've never felt before.

I hope you like them and share with me your favourites as well : )

Alphabet Blog - U - Ukulele

FIRST I wanna apologise. Yes I totally forgot about this blog and erm.... I AM feeling guilty for not contributing for so long. But oh well, here I am! *nod* This post would be more or less like a piece of self-thinking... No deep meaning, no reflection, just plain thoughts. So read on if you still want to.

Ukulele, a little instrument that I fell in love with a year or so ago maybe? I've seen it so many times in YouTube videos over the years but this year I finally got one for my own. I still remember that rush of happiness in that moment I found that I can actually find one in where I live, that I don't have to order it and have it shipped to me from overseas; I still remember how blank my mind was when I held two ukuleles in my hands and wonder which one to have.... I actually couldn't tell the difference in the quality of sound they made. Should I hold it with my left hand or right hand? I have absolutely no idea.

But then, I bought one.

Alphabet Blog - T - Tea

This is a pretty self explanatory post to express my love for tea. I don't  have much to say, I drink tea everyday and I reach it whenever I need that divine moment of calm.

Tea, a drink which relieves thirst and dissipates sorrow.

Alphabet Blog - S

S is my favourite alphabet. I know it sounds silly but I do really like it! It's the start of my name, my favourite fruit [strawberry, if you haven't know yet], my birth month [I was born in September], and the start of a bunch of words and objects I like. Stars, sapphires [for its colour, I'm generally crazy about anything that's in any shades of blue], sea [beautifully blue again] and many other things. I like its curve, I like how it's an alphabet that's in many words, I like how it looks. This is starting to sound like nonsense but I meant it! I can't specifically tell you a solid and sounding reason why, that's just a feeling and I suppose you don't always have explanations for them!

Do you have any special sentiment to any letter as well? Or maybe you have a special word that you love?

Alphabet Blog - R - reflection

Since this year is coming to an end I figure out it's time to do some reflections...
Overall, it's a particularly eventful year!

From January to April I'm stuck in the mess of revision of my A Level exam which turns out to be a complete disaster but I haven't let that define me and I learnt how to cope with my anxiety and stress while getting what need to be done DONE.

In April I sent an email to Eti who writes etienne's journal and we have been exchanging lengthy emails since and I really enjoy reading anything she tells me about, she's an amazing and talented girl! If you're reading this Eti, *insert virtual warm hug*, thank you for being one of the nicest things happened to me : )

In May I went to London for three weeks on my own and it was such an extraordinary experience! I certainly want to do it again some time in the future, to another place or even for a longer time but I think I would definitely visit this city again, I just love it for no reason named!

June to August was quite another disaster continued from the A Level exams, during the time was when my results came in and embarks the "what am I going to do with life academically" quest. I'm taking a detour form the straightforward academic path most people are on and I'll see how it goes! I'm still on it and who knows what's going to happen!

From September onward to now is school, assignments, projects, tests, and EXAM which I'm in the middle of it right now. I will know the results next year in February so I should really just do my revisions and not worry about it too  much until then as there's not much else I can do!

Christmas is in a few days and then this year will be GONE! Time passes....

What's the best or worst or the most memorable thing happened to you this year?

Alphabet Blog - Q - question

"A question that sometimes drive me hazy: am I or the others crazy?"

I ask questions all the times. I ask myself far too many questions the I don't even have an answer. I like to question myself about everything. I want myself to think, to create situations in my head, to relive a memory or just let myself drown in all the questions. I sometimes think is it just me who would ask all those strange questions, or all humans have the same doubts as well, just they never let it out. I like to hear people asking questions sometimes, it shows who they are from  how they phrase a question, I would guess why they ask such questions as well, have they not been listening or do they have many things going on in their mind like mine too. You don't necessarily to be in confusion to ask question, it can be out of curiosity or just because of that imaginary blink provokes you to do so. I think knowing how to or have the mind to ask questions can be even more beneficial than knowing an answer. You can learn from others' question and find answers to some of the unanswered questions in your head. I find it interesting and somehow fascinating. I wonder have I made you asking even more questions or have you suddenly came up with something to erase one of those question mark imprinted long ago in your head?

Alphabet Blog - P - pet

I previously briefly mentioned I have an unnamed pet turtle and I want to dedicate this post to him.

Unlike any other more usual pets, he's not exactly the cute and adorable kind on the look, also I can't cuddle with him because he has pretty sharp claws and I'm quite sure he can bite! I have him for, if I remember correctly, about 12 years. That's a long period of time. I don't even remember why I have it in the first place but I like the presence of him nonetheless. He's quite a fun buddy to spend time with. I remember when I was younger, I talk to him all the time about anything, I just hover above his "home" and just keep babbling, he is for sure a good listener! I still talk to him sometimes, I like to trick him into believe there's something for him to eat while it's just my fingers moving in front of him through the separation of the plastic (he lives in a homeware box because even the biggest size of pet home in pet shops doesn't fit a long time ago). He likes to sunbathe so in sunny afternoons I would let him out in the balcony and he can has a little walk under the sun. He hibernates in Winter times so I would just quietly sit beside his "home" and watch him. There's nothing much I can do but it's a nice feeling to know I have him as my accompany for some quiet time. People say turtles kind of live long and I really want it to stay with me for long, I can't see how it would be without him!

Do you have beloved pet(s) as well?

Alphabet Blog - O - opportunity

Opportunity is an occasion or situation which makes it possible to do something that you want to do or have to do. It's your chance to make something happen, to let them be true. You may not know whether it's going to be your once in a life time moment or you may be able to do such things again, so you really have to take it quickly and hold it! I have a few quotes that I wanna share with you...

Time goes by fast. People go in and out of your life. You must never miss the opportunity to tell these people how much they mean to you.

Don't quit. Every difficulty is an opportunity in disguise.

Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity. - Albert Einstein

There are times in life which you would feel so let down and you don't know how are things gonna be, you would be so tempted to just sit there doing nothing, letting all things pass by. Even there may be an opportunity for you to turn a new leaf. Don't be afraid, seize it when you see it! You live only one life, don't let it be a lie! Live for yourself and do everything you feel right at the moment, never let regrets eat you up.
